James is an Iraq war veteran, a former police officer who created the #HugACop video, a previous state senate candidate in Delaware, and the vice-chairman of the Wilmington Housing Authority. He is the Director of Partnerships for Coded by Kids and is a guitarist with his acoustic duos Hall & Spadola Acoustic, Skinner & Spadola, and Almost Acoustic.
